Recouping and snowy days

Oh goodness, January has been quite the month so far. Shortly after my little girl’s first birthday, her older brother got sick, really sick. We went to the pediatrician’s office 3 days in a row, got a chest xray and then to the ER where we were admitted. The past 2 weeks have been a bit of a blur, since 12 hours into being admitted to our local hospital he was transferred to a children’s hospital and spent 5 days in the PICU. Poor kid had RSV, rhinovirus, enterovirus and pneumonia and sister got pneumonia and an ear infection but luckily it didn’t hit her as hard. Thankfully we are all home and mostly feeling better (momma’s turn to be sick).

With all that being said there hasn’t been a ton of crafting around here. Once we got home and my kiddos started feeling better I got a little more free time and my family kept my house while we were away so I didn’t even have to do housework so more crafting!

Since I worked nonstop on the ornaments for so long I burned myself out on it so I put it away for another time but picked up sister’s birth announcement to start working on.

Filled in her face, minus her rosy cheeks and starting on her body

My momma also asked if I could make my sweet nephew a scarf since he’s always stealing hers. The goal is to match their hats I made them earlier in the winter. Today we are suppose to get 4-8 inches of snow in my corner of the world, so while my littles play I’m stitching away since it’s way too cold and windy to take my recovering littles out to play.

    1. Thank you Ginny, it was quite scary there for a little while. My littles are wanting to go outside and play so badly but our wind has been so bad and its bitterly cold which really isn’t conducive to healing pneumonia so we’re just doing lots of fun inside things.
