Hello friends! I do hope your week has been going well.

We’ve had a busy week here celebrating Father’s Day earlier since my hubby is on night shift. We spent lots of time just enjoying time with family and just being present in the moment. At one point my sweet little boy wanted to help me sew, so I picked up a small needlework canvas set after he enjoyed helping me push my needle through. He was soo happy with his progress and I was so amazed at how well he was doing. I look forward to sharing his progress with you as I’m sure it will take him a while to complete it as we only work on it while sister naps.

Working steadily along on the Oden blanket, its measuring about 19 inches along so I’ve only got about 14 inches left to go . So here’s to hoping that I can manage that by next month for the baby shower. This blanket seems like one I could make again as it’s a pretty simple repeat. As a lot more of our friends are announcing pregnancies, I may be casting another on as soon as I finish this one.

The garden fairies are coming along nicely, there are only two more little faces to add to the big picture and fill in the foliage. I’m really hoping to get it done in the next few months.

While picking up my little boy’s kits, I found these sweet little needle minders and decided it would be nice to have. I’ve never used a needle minder before but these sure do make me smile and hopefully it will help me keep track of my needle instead of frantically searching for it (even though its stuck in my pin cushion) when I go to rethread it.

  1. I love that your little one wants to stitch with you. I look forward to seeing his progress. Your blanket is so beautiful. I can see why you would want to make it over and over again. It will make a great gift. Love your sweet little fairies.

    1. Thank you Ginny. It definitely warms my heart to share it with him, just to watch his excitement is worth it. It is a sweet little blanket so I’m sure it will be made a few more times. They are sweet, hoping once I get the fairies complete I can get the background done quickly.
