Hello Again

Hello! Long time since I sat down to chat. Life got a little hectic there with the pandemic/at home learning and just general life with 2 young kids. Good things came from the last few years even with all the turmoil, my husband rediscovered his love of diving which has taken us on quite a few adventures, learned some new crafts and just lived a little simpler.

So onto some of the crafting adventures, my cross stitching and knitting went on some adventures this past year and instead of writing up a huge recap I’ll just place picture of some of the things I worked on otherwise we’d be here for a really long time. My current WIP is Consider the Lilies by Heartstring Samplery and Home is where the wreath is by Stitching with the Housewives. I’ve also got Little House Needleworks “Kringles” on the go but can’t find my recent progress picture.

I’ve been sewing quite a bit doing bits and bobs, repairing towels and pillows but then I decided to try my hand at quilting. Turns out it’s not as hard as I worked it up to be in my brain (I know I’m choosing simple designs) but I did complete a simple blanket for my kiddos 6th birthday. I’ve even joined a block of the month and by the end I’ll have a gorgeous quilt.

Knitting has really consisted of hats, mittens and baby blankets with the sweetest crochet unicorn I’ve ever seen.

What things have you been creating?

  1. Hi! Time does tend to get away from us at times. You have been busy with your crafting. All are wonderful projects! That is an awesome looking first time quilt! I would have never guessed that you had never quilted before. Awesome!
